Omega-7 (palmitoleic acid)

Silver· human data

Also known as: Palmitoleic acid

A monounsaturated fat with early metabolic and skin claims.

Omega-7 refers to palmitoleic acid, a monounsaturated fatty acid found in sources like sea buckthorn and macadamia, marketed for metabolic health, lipids and skin and mucous-membrane comfort.

A few small human studies report improvements in inflammatory and lipid markers, and it is used for dry-eye and skin support, but the evidence is early and limited. Interesting but far from established.
