NAD+ precursors (NMN & NR)

Silver· human data

Also known as: NMN, Nicotinamide mononucleotide, NR, Nicotinamide riboside

NAD+ boosters that reliably raise NAD+ but have yet to prove real longevity benefits.

NMN and NR are precursors the body converts to NAD+, a coenzyme central to energy metabolism and repair that declines with age. Human trials confirm that supplementing does raise blood NAD+ and appears safe over the studied periods.

The gap is between that biomarker and real outcomes: convincing evidence that raising NAD+ slows ageing, or improves strength, endurance or metabolic health in people, is still lacking despite intense marketing. Promising biology, unproven benefits — and regulatory status of NMN varies by country.
