An antioxidant adaptogen with early metabolic and AMPK-related interest.
Gynostemma, or jiaogulan, is a herb rich in gypenosides (related to ginseng's ginsenosides), used as an antioxidant adaptogen and studied for metabolic health, including AMPK activation.
Some small human studies suggest improvements in blood sugar and body weight, but the evidence is early and limited. A low-risk adaptogen with promising but preliminary metabolic signals.
