Astragalus

Silver· human data

Also known as: Astragalus membranaceus, Huang qi

An immune and longevity herb with mostly preclinical and early evidence.

Astragalus is a foundational herb in traditional Chinese medicine, used for immune support and vitality, and drawn into longevity discussions for compounds studied around telomeres.

Most human data come from combination formulas or specific clinical settings rather than standalone trials, so its general immune and anti-ageing claims are preliminary. Because it stimulates immune activity, people with autoimmune conditions or on immunosuppressants should be cautious.
